Ans: The big TV screen of the Control Room indicates that something was heading towards the place, this lead to a lot of excitement among people.

2. Was the spacecraft manned or unmanned? How do you know it?

Ans: The spacecraft was unmanned. Number one in the central committee told that they did not contain any living being. They have instrument only.

3. What did Number One and Number Two suggest should be done about the alien spacecraft?

Ans: Number One and Number Two suggested that they should not attack the spacecraft. They should only observe so as to reveal their existence.

Part III

1.  What do you think the mechanical hand was trying to do?

Ans: The mechanical hand was trying to dig out the Martian soil for testing if there is life on Mars or not.

2.  Tilloo pressed red button and “the damage was done”. What was the damage?

Ans: The damage was that the mechanical hand stopped working.

3.  Where had the spacecraft come from?

Ans: The spacecraft had come from NASA.

4. On which planet  do Tilloo and his parents live?

Ans: They live on Mars.
